Digital Art

With all the exciting apps out there for phones and tablets its becoming more and more popular for Artists, Illustrators and Designers to use an app for their creations.

Quite a few artists are now contacting us to discuss printing of the artwork they have created using iPads and other tablets.
One common question people ask is just how big will these creations print?
Well, a lot depends on which tablet you are using and which app you are using as some will use the pixel size of the screen and others will have bigger or scalable canvas options, allowing you to create a larger image.

Take a look at the table, which includes a few apps and their maximum canvas sizes available.

Canvas size Print size
Procreate 4096 x 4096 13.6 x 13.6in
Sketchbook 2048 x 1536 6.8 x 5.1in
Art Studio 2448 x 3264 8.1 x 10.8in
Art Set 1728 x 2304 5.7 x 7.6in
ArtRage 2048 x 2048 6.8 x 6.8in
Paper 2048 x 1536 6.8 x 5.1in

Whichever app you are using they will generally all have options for different canvas sizes, make sure you're using the largest size possible.

We can usually print larger images than stated in the table.. but thats for an optimal of 300dpi.
In most cases if the original image is really sharp and of really good quality we can usually enlarge your images to 150% or more.

We’re here to answer any questions you may have and we will always have a look at the image and its size and quality before we print.
If you are unsure of the size your image will print at just send it to us and we will let you know.

Prices are dependant on the medium you choose to have your image printed on. Please refer to the price lists.
It's a real privilege to make these works of art through digital tools which mean you don't have the bother of water, paints, and the chore of clearing things away.. You know sometimes I get so carried away, I wipe my fingers at the end thinking that I've got paint on them.

On the iPhone I tended to draw with my thumb. Whereas the moment I got to the iPad, I found myself using every finger.
